Michael McCreary

Michael McCreary has over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of business and technology with deep experience in highly regulated and litigious environments. Before joining RR he spent 12 years at Pfizer in various management positions within R&D, HR and Legal. Most recently he was CIO of Pfizer’s Legal and Public Affairs divisions. As a member of Pfizer’s IT and Legal Leadership teams he led the corporate technology strategy for e-Discovery, IP, Security, Privacy, Records Management and Information Risk Management. Prior to joining Pfizer he was a partner in a software development and consulting firm working for various clients in the manufacturing, energy and professional sports industries. Michael’s team was honored by Law Technology News for the most innovative use of technology by a law department and he is a regular speaker and writer on topics including information life cycle management, retention risk management, auto-categorization and e-Discovery preparedness. Michael holds dual BA’s from Union College.
Charles Skamser
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Charles Skamser is an internationally recognized technology sales and marketing leader with over 25 years of experience in Information Governance, eDiscovery, computer assisted analytics and cloud computing. Most recently, Charles was the founder and Senior Analyst for eDiscovery Solutions Group, a global provider of information management consulting, market intelligence and advisory services specializing in information governance, eDiscovery, Big Data analytics and cloud computing solutions. Previously, Charles served in various executive roles with disruptive technology startups and well know industry technology providers. Charles is a prolific author and a regular speaker on the technology that the Global 2000 require to management the accelerating increase in Electronically Stored Information (ESI). Charles holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from Macalester College.
Mark Gianturco, PhD
Chief Technology Officer
Mark Gianturco is a nationally recognized technologist with over 25 years of industry experience in multiple disciplines, including technology management, software development, design, systems architecture and information technology. In addition to successful tenures at two rapid-growth healthcare technology firms, Mark has served as the Chief Technology Officer for two well-known e-Discovery software and solutions providers. At both of those firms he was responsible for creating and building a corporate technology subsidiary, and leading the architecture, design and implementation of multiple software products within those organizations. Mark is a regular speaker on emerging technologies including cloud computing, and has served as an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University, teaching master level software engineering. In addition to speaking engagements, and being published on several software engineering topics, he is qualified as a court appointed expert in software plagiarism, computer forensics, electronic discovery issues, and software engineering. Mark holds a BS in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary, as well as a Masters in Information Systems and a PhD in Information Technology from George Mason University.
Michael McCutcheon
Director of Business Development and Technology Strategy
Michael McCutcheon is responsible for the strategy and design of the product. Michael brings a deep understanding of technology, experience applying technology around litigation, and a track record of starting successful software companies. Prior to joining Rational Retention, Michael was Head of Technology development at a litigation services and software company, where he served as the Chief Technology Officer and pioneered a scalable web-based litigation repository. In 1999, he founded and held the post of Chief Technology Officer at ProductivityNet, a company focused on developing cutting edge software to control servers and network devices via web and wireless interfaces. Mike attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute majoring in Computer Science.
Konstantin Mertsalov, PhD
Director of European Software Development, Principle Research Scientist
Dr. Konstantin Mertsalov brings extensive experience in search, social network and document classification technologies with a focus on latest academic achievement in these areas. Earlier in his career, Konstantin developed a scalable search system, which was used to search hundreds of millions of documents with a rich set of metadata. At Rational Retention, Konstantin is focused on development of the document classification system based on Support Vector Machines, social network analysis tools as well as algorithms for corpus structure analysis (near dupes and email threads). In 2009 Konstantin received a Ph.D. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His thesis work involved study of large dynamic social networks. Konstantin's other academic interests include machine learning, information diffusion in social networks as well as a search in semantic web. He has co-authored numerous publications on social networks analysis, search and machine learning, which have appeared at international conferences and journals.
